It was in 1992 that Tategamori Ark Ranch was born on top of a mountain in the Yellow Sea after a period of four years of soil preparation.
Founder and husband Teruo Hashimoto embarked on the realization of a farm market concept that he had learned and built on his own, in order to establish a nationwide model of farming style for Fujisawa Town on the government-developed farmland entrusted to him. bottom.

「ARK」の名称についてですが、旧約聖書に「ノアの方舟」が出てきます。よく知られたお話ですが、「THE ARK」とはその方舟を意味しています。神に命じられて巨大な方舟を作り、あらゆる植物の種と動物のつがいを乗せて大洪水の中を新天地に漂着、生き物と子孫を救い、未来を創った実直なノア。

そこに私は「日本の農業を未来に残す」という、この牧場の使命と重なるものを感じました。それくらい日本の農業に危機感を抱いているのは事実ですし、たとえ小さな力でも、私たちが正しい農業のあり方を次世代に伝えていきたいと本気で考えているのもまた事実です。ノアの箱舟に因み、地名を入れて「館ヶ森アーク牧場」（現在はArk館ヶ森）と命名したのです。

農業を軸として、様々な事業に取り組んで参りましたが、更にこれらを多角的に発展させていくことを考えた時、「牧場」という概念では賄いきれない広がりとなってきたことから、日本の農業を未来に残すという使命を表した社名「アーク」に、新たな志を持って土づくりから開拓してきた「館ヶ森」の地にこれからも根ざし地域と共に発展していくという意志を込め、令和5年（2023年）に「Ark館ヶ森」と名称変更を行いました。
